Integrating Hawke AI with Klaviyo is slightly different from our other integrations. We’ve created a step by step guide in order to walk you through your Klaviyo integration but if you need more assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us directly for help at support@hawke.ai.

Integration Steps:

Step 1:

To connect your Klaviyo to a Hawke AI account, log in to your Klaviyo’s admin page. Then, on the bottom left click on your profile account and select ‘Integrations’.

Because Hawke AI is a custom app from here, in the top right, we’ll be clicking Developer Tools, and then on the next page click Manage APIs.

Step 3

To integrate your Klaviyo account, you will need to create a new Private API Key. To do this, first click on the Create Private API Key button, and on the next page select the Full Access Key option and then click Create.

Step 4

Copy your newly created Private API key (make sure you click on Klaviyo’s copy function – do not just highlight and command-c the hidden api key, it won’t work). 

Head to the integration page in Hawke AI and click to add the Klaviyo integration. In the pop-up give your integration a name and paste your copied API key in the API Key field.

Lastly, select the timezone of your Klaviyo account. To find out what the timezone is, within Klaviyo, click your profile in the bottom left > settings, then click “Organization” in the subnav. If you scroll down you’ll find a section called “Time Zone” with your account’s timezone. There’s a slight difference between Hawke AI and Klaviyo here, Klaviyo will just lis the country and timezone, where Hawke AI does a city breakdown – all that matters is that what you select in Hawke AI matches your timezone in Klaviyo.

With this in place you should now see a list of your campaigns. Either select individual campaigns, all campaigns, or Regex field to create your own logic – in most cases you’ll want to bring in all campaigns. Once you’re happy with your setup click Save

FAQs

Q: I can’t get the platform to connect?

A: The most frequent issue is incorrect timezone selection – this needs to match the timezone you selected within your Klaviyo Account. 

We also see instances of timeouts which are, unfortunately, a consequence of creating a custom app. We would typically recommend attempting the connection a few times or trying again later in order to solve the issue.

Q: I can’t see any of my accounts/campaigns?

A: Please ensure you have the right level of access in order to connect Klaviyo to Hawke AI. You will need admin access to the Klaviyo account in order to complete the connection.

Sometimes if there is a large number of accounts / campaigns it can take a while for the API to complete its call – in this instance the best thing to do is wait for them to pull in.
